Following an animated Jesus!

Screen shot 2015-07-30 at 12.05.38 PM5 brand new animations called ‘Following Jesus’ have been uploaded to www.kidshubtv.com.

Episode 1 shows a locust-munching John the Baptist and an engaging Jesus drawing crowds and fisherman. Watch them online or view them on a smartphone using the Max7 App. There are dynamic children’s ministry lessons to go along with the videos on Max7.org. Let us know what you think of them at the KidsHubTV Facebook page.

KidsHubs Madagascar

MadagascarKidsHubTV in Madagascar has taken a new turn. The children trained in media continue to produce songs, dramas and various other resources every month and make it available to children, ministries and churches via DVD. The team in Madagascar said “it is always encouraging to see children’s ministry led by children”.

Put your KidsHub on TV!

IMG069 IMG067Imagine if we had a 3-minute video of the kids in Cairo visiting the pyramids in Giza and telling us what they learnt. Or the cast in South Africa telling us about the African animals they’ve seen in the game park. What about your KidsHub? Could you film a short segment telling us something about your KidsHub or a skill your children want to teach, a song, a favourite game or show us around your town? These short videos can be uploaded on kidshubtv.com for everyone to watch. Imagine seeing your segment on a KidsHubTV episode. It is possible! This year we hope to write more media sessions on how to create short segments like this to share. Together we could create a global KidsHubTV show. Now that would be worth watching!

KidsHubTV films in a Game park

KidsHubTV Shoot-2kidsKHsetThe first two episodes of KidsHubTV were filmed in a game park in South Africa last month. The team wrote saying, “we had a really fun time, and the children and puppeteers were wonderful…for most of them; this was the first time they had done something like this. We tried to use children from the local community and not from the big cities, which worked out so well and really blessed the children.  One father said to me: ‘When we received the audition information, I told my wife to not even bother, as the children from the city would get the presenter roles.’ So he was really surprised when his daughter was called back to join us on the pilot episodes.”

cast&crew

The South African team used and adapted scripts from the Indian version of the KidsHubTV show. They plan to film Episode 3 at the end of July and will hopefully then use these to apply for funding to continue on filming the program.

The team signed off by saying, “we are so grateful for the resources that you have made available to producers around the world, and want to say a huge thank you to you, and all those involved in the animations, scripts, stings etc. and everything else.  It is because of these resources, and people like you (and all those who work with you) that KHTV will be a success around the world. For Africa’s children!”
